The Objective
These two pieces were made for an assignment in my graphic design class, the objective was to pick two Rhyming Pairs and create a graphic piece and a collage to match their respective duo. The two rhymes that I went with are Shady Lady and Dove Love.

Above are the thumbnail sketches I made for both concepts, I had two very different mindsets when going into this stage. For the Shady Lady piece, I wanted a more noir/ mysterious aesthetic, so I tried different ways to utilize the "shady" part of the rhyme to obscure part of the subject's face. I also strayed away from too strong of an expression to preserve the feeling of not knowing what the subject was thinking.
The Dove Love piece was the opposite thematically. Not only in my sketches did I want the Doves to be completely visible, but I also wanted them to show closeness to one another.
Roughs
Below are the results of a critique with my peers in which I was able to narrow down the most successful of my sketches and make two roughs to further explore the concepts.
